Proposing the book as the unifying design language for both the architecture and interior, this project translates the warmth of reading into spatial order. The lobby walls are clad in large-format sintered stone panels, while the main reception wall features hand-pressed Japanese ceramic tiles, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. At the heart of the space, a structural column is reinterpreted as a warm timber volume resembling book pages and integrated with lateral displays, softening the building's structural rigidity and imbuing the space with a rich cultural resonance. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass and framed timber screens visually draw the external Japanese-style garden inward, establishing a serene dialogue between the built environment and the natural landscape.
The rooftop space embodies the concept of sustainability. Here, photovoltaic panels are integrated with a warm timber-clad ceiling, sheltering an outdoor lounge that seamlessly connects to the surrounding landscape—a contemporary architectural paradigm where craftsmanship and environment coexist in harmony.
